Статья построена на диалоге с недавним исследованием Майкла Малая "Домашние и дикие существа Элизабет Бишоп". Фокус нашего исследования мы сместим на фигуру исчезновения и речь о "выживании". Этот тезис демонстрирует, как нечеловеческие персонажи в поэмах Элизабет Бишоп "Лось" и "Бухта" [1] подрывают антропоцентризм, тем самым способствуя постоянному пересмотру политических и этических подходов к дискурсу видов.
Статья построена на диалоге с недавним исследованием Майкла Малая "Домашние и дикие существа Элизабет Бишоп". Фокус нашего исследования мы сместим на фигуру исчезновения и речь о "выживании". Этот тезис демонстрирует, как нечеловеческие персонажи в поэмах Элизабет Бишоп "Лось" и "Бухта" [1] подрывают антропоцентризм, тем самым способствуя постоянному пересмотру политических и этических подходов к дискурсу видов.

"The Moose" on the Shelf: Nonhuman Characters in Literature. Extinction figure
Keywords: extinction; Elizabeth Bishop; the problem of extinction; imagination.
The article builds on a dialogue with Michael Malay's recent study Domestic and Wild Creatures by Elizabeth Bishop. We will shift the focus of our study to the figure of disappearance and the speech about "survival". This thesis demonstrates how the non-human characters in Elizabeth Bishop's poems "The Moose" and "The Bight" [1] undermine anthropocentrism, thus contributing to the constant re-examination of political and ethical approaches to the discourse of species.
