Перспективы свободы индивида в условиях общества риска

В условиях общества риска возникает множество барьеров, препятствующих реализации индивидом своей свободы: высокая степень осознанности риска, социальная иерархия общества базируется на риске, фреймирования риска осуществляются техническим языком, скрывающим моральную оценку, различия количественного языка экспертов и качественного языка обывателей, ориентированность общества риска на будущее, что создает разрыв в традиции. В качестве положительных тенденций, способствующих освобождению индивида в обществе риска, в статье отмечаются падение доверия к экспертному знанию в результате роста уровня образования и развития критического мышления. Также серьезной силой становится индивидуализация, которая, с одной стороны, создает беспрецедентные возможности выбора и формирования идентичности, но, с другой стороны, переносит бремя ответственности на индивида.

Perspectives for individual freedom in a risk society

In the conditions of a risk society, many barriers arise that prevent an individual from exercising his freedom: a high degree of risk awareness, the social hierarchy of society is based on risk, risk framing is carried out in a technical language that hides moral assessment, differences in the quantitative language of experts and the qualitative language of ordinary people, the focus of risk society on the future, which creates a gap in the tradition. As positive trends contributing to the liberation of the individual in the risk society, the article notes a drop in trust in expert knowledge as a result of an increase in the level of education and the development of critical thinking. Also, individualization becomes a serious force, which, on the one hand, creates unprecedented opportunities for choice and identity formation, but, on the other hand, transfers the burden of responsibility to the individual.
