В статье рассматриваются магистральные направления развития ранней литературной геронтологии - области исследований, возникшей в 1990-х годах на стыке гуманистической геронтологии, литературной критики, философии, культурологии и истории. Представлены характерные черты каждого направления и яркие выразители его идей. Демонстрируется тот факт, что гуманистическая геронтология аккумулирует усилия по исследованию внутреннего опыта старения, раскрывая продуктивные возможности по повышению качества жизни в позднем жизненном периоде, а также давая знания, применение которых, может продлевать активное долголетие. Приводятся доводы, обосновывающие причины появления литературных исследований старения. Обсуждается перспективность работы в данном направлении, в частности указывается необходимость расширения геронтологического знания, в том числе и за счет обращения к новым методологиям изучения феноменологии старшего возраста.

The main directions of the evolution of early literary gerontology

The article examines the main directions of the development of early literary gerontology, a field of research that emerged in the 1990s at the junction of humanistic gerontology, literary criticism, philosophy, cultural studies and history. The characteristic features of each trend and the vivid exponents of its ideas are considered. It demonstrates that humanistic gerontology accumulates efforts to study the internal experience of aging, revealing productive opportunities to improve the quality of life in late life, as well as providing knowledge, the application of which can prolong active longevity. The arguments substantiating the reasons for the appearance of literary studies of aging are given. The prospects of work in this area are discussed, in particular, the need to expand gerontological knowledge is indicated, including through the use of new methodologies for studying older age phenomenology.
