Formation of apophatic tradition in the history of ancient Greek philosophy: from Aristotle's doctrine of non-being to the doctrine Plotinus' of the One
Keywords: history of philosophy; non-being; Aristotle; Plotinus; negative theology; philosophical apophatic.
The article is devoted to the problem of demarcation of negative theology and philosophical apophatic. A key aspect in the study of the origins of Greek negativity is the philosophers' doctrines about non-being. The article shows that Aristotle's doctrine of non-being should be referred to philosophical apophatic. The historical and philosophical interrelation between Aristotle's doctrine of non-being and Plotinus' doctrine of the One relating to negative theology is established.
